Mumbai: Superstar Shahrukh Khan`s real-life bodyguard chose to stay away from the felicitation ceremony of bodyguards, organised by filmmakers of the Salman Khan starrer of the same name, which hit the screens today. Directed by Siddhique, Bodyguard stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.
Kareena yesterday felicitated the bodyguards of actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan for their work and dedicated service to the superstars.
On the absence of Shahrukh`s bodyguard at the promotional activity , Kareena said, "I am sure they (makers) would have invited Shahrukh`s bodyguard also like others. But it seems he (Shahrukh) might be travelling so his bodyguard would be with him."
However, sources say the rivalry between Shahrukh and Salman might have led the former`s bodyguard to give the event a miss.
Salman`s bodyguard Shera, who launched the movie promo, was also not present at the event due to the actor`s bad health.
