The actor received a sweet surprise when Twitter brought to his notice how Muhammad Khan, an actor from Indonesia thanked King Khan after winning the Best Actor award at the Citra 2019.
In his speech after receiving the award, the Indonesian star said, “I would like to share the award with my hero [Bollywood actor] Shahrukh Khan.” Muhammad even surprised the audience by singing the famous “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” song from the Shah Rukh, Juhi Chawla, and Sonali Bendre flick “Duplicate.”

The film was a big hit and a major winner at the awards function having won seven more awards the same night.
Muhammad Khan played the role of a Javanese choreographer and dancer named Rianto. The film ran into controversy as it revolved around homoerotism. That is why it was banned in many regions of Indonesia but still managed to win the hearts of juries who picked it for eight awards. According to reports, it is also the official entry from Indonesia for the 2020 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Film category.
