Samantha Akkineni until now has won 4 Filmfare Awards for her outstanding contribution to various movies. The Southern beauty won it for the 4th time in 2017 for the movie A Aa. While taking the award on the stage, Samantha said something very interesting.
Samantha Akkineni Wants the Awards So That She Can Show Them To Her Child in Future
The Manam actress said, "Thank You Filmfare! This is an important award. Chya (Naga Chaitanya) asked me how come this award is so important for me today. And I told him this is not for now. This for later. Because when we have a baby and the baby asks me Dad is a star what did you do mommy?"
She further added, "Well these four Filmfare I have won has to count for something. So this is an important award. That being said I intend on sticking around for a very long time."
While talking about her movie A Aa Samantha Akkineni said, "It is a very special film. I won this award actually for not doing much and thank you to my entire team because they have been amazing. I would like to thank my director and my co-star Nithiin for being sweethearts and helping me win my 4th Filmfare award."
Samantha Akkineni was extremely active during the lockdown. She continued to be in touch with her fans through social media. From trying out terrace gardening to inspiring others to grow their own vegetables, the Southern beauty kept on motivating her fans to stay positive during corona pandemic.
Samantha Akkineni will be next seen in Ashwin Kumar's horror flick. The actress will be playing the role of a disabled person in this heroine-centric flick.
