The Deol family, who bid him a private farewell on Monday, opened their doors once more to allow industry members to join them in prayer and remembrance.
Salman Khan’s Quiet Tribute
Among the first to arrive at Taj Lands End, Bandra, on November 27 was Salman Khan. Having previously visited Dharmendra in the hospital, Salman’s presence at the prayer meet carried a sense of personal grief.
Cameras captured him entering the venue with his characteristic simplicity, his silent arrival speaking louder than words ever could. It was a gesture that reflected the bond and deep admiration he had always expressed for the legendary star.
Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan Arrive
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, dressed in a serene white salwar suit, arrived alongside Abhishek Bachchan. Together, they joined others from the fraternity, offering prayers, comforting the Deol family, and standing by them in their moment of profound loss.
Among other celebrities who attended the player meet were Mukesh Khanna, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur, Siddharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff.
Their presence added to the collective warmth that enveloped the gathering - a testament to the respect Dharmendra commanded across generations.
Celebrating a Life That Touched Millions
The prayer meet bore Dharmendra’s youthful photograph at the entrance - a timeless reminder of the charm, humility, and stellar screen presence that made him an icon.
Held between 5 pm and 7:30 pm, the evening created space for memories to resurface and emotions to flow freely. As reports suggest, Sonu Nigam performed some of Dharmendra’s evergreen classics as a musical tribute - a heartfelt farewell to a man who lived and breathed cinema.

Though a Padma Bhushan awardee and former MP from Bikaner (BJP), Dharmendra was cremated without state honours, as the Deol family reportedly chose not to opt for a state funeral - a quiet goodbye, just as he might have wanted.
