“I Didn’t Do Anything in That Film”

In a candid chat with Lehren TV, Salman reflected on the unpredictable nature of cinematic success. He admitted that audience reactions often baffled him.

He had said, "What I don't understand is that there are some films where you work extremely hard and they don’t get appreciated at all. And then there are films where you hardly do anything, yet they become huge hits."

Expanding on this thought, Salman pointed to Karan Arjun itself as an example.

According to him, the accolades he received felt disproportionate to his effort. He stated, "I didn’t do anything in that film. Everybody else worked hard, and I ended up getting praised for it."

His remarks offered a rare glimpse into how even major stars question the mechanics of stardom and success.

Salman on Tere Naam’s Success

Speaking about Tere Naam, Salman once again shifted credit away from himself. Despite the film becoming one of his most talked-about performances, he downplayed his contribution.

He remarked, "There was nothing in ‘Tere Naam’. It was simple. One look had bangs, and the other was bald. In the second half, I had one dialogue; otherwise, I barely had any lines."

Further acknowledging the collaborative effort behind the film, he said, "It was the director, the screenplay, the writers, the dialogues, and the entire plot of the film that shaped my character and became the reason for the film’s success."
