Los Angeles: Hollywood star Salma Hayek has joined hands with TV network ABC to develop a miniseries, based on the Gregory Maguire best seller `Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West`.The story, which also inspired a successful Broadway musical, will be told in an eight-hour miniseries and will be produced by Hayek and her partner Jose Tamez through their Ventanarosa Prods and ABC Studios.The project is in the early stages of development, so it`s unclear whether Hayek will also star in Wicked, the Hollywood Reporter said.Erik Jendersen, who was a producer on HBO`s miniseries Band of Brothers, is writing the script.
Hayek has previously produced `Ugly Betty` for the network.
