When the frontline warriors of Mumbai Police were taking care of the city during corona times, it was director Rohit Shetty who stepped forward to ensure that these warriors receive the right treatment and care when needed. Nonetheless, the Mumbai Police in the last few months have appreciated this contribution from the Singham director.
Today, the police department of Mumbai honored Rohit with a token of gratitude for the immense help he provided during the lockdown.
Rohit Shetty Arranged Free Treatment For 70 Cops Ailing From COVID-19
The famous director is not very active on social media and is rarely sighted at promotional events and parties. However, when it was time to help out the frontline warriors, he single-handedly arranged residence in hotels for the Mumbai Police. The Simmba director even arranged free treatment and care for 70 police staff suffering from corona at the Saifee Hospital.
He was also the one to lend monetary support to daily wages workers from the film industry. Even the media photographers who suffered heavily during the lockdown as there were no celebrity spotting or events received ample support from Rohit Shetty.
In his recent post, the Bol Bachchan director wrote, "Chahe Kuch bhi hojaye, chalte raho... Kaam karte raho... keep moving!" And similar to these words Shetty has been a big inspiration for many to continue working during the pandemic times.
In August, immediately after the government eased lockdown norms and gave permission to shoot television shows, Rohit shot for Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made in India. He not only hosted the reality show but also designed stunt sequences for the contestants.
In October this year, the dynamic director announced a new comedy-drama titled Cirkus with Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde. The movie will release in winter 2021. He also has Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif all ready to hit the theaters next year.
