Ajay Bhupathi, the director behind RX 100, has confirmed his next film - and it comes with a bang. The untitled project will mark the Tollywood debut of Rasha Thadani, daughter of Bollywood icon Raveena Tandon, alongside Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s nephew.

Ajay Bhupathi took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement: “With a Great Story comes Greater Responsibility...Thrilled and honoured to introduce #JayaKrishnaGhattamaneni through my next film. From the heart of the hills, a raw, intense and realistic love story, #AB4 Title announcement soon.” (sic)

Rasha Thadani: From Bollywood to Tollywood

On Monday, Ajay Bhupathi revealed that Rasha Thadani will join Jaya Krishna in his Telugu debut. Posting a striking first-look image of her leaning against a motorcycle in jeans and a vest, he said: “Make way for the Gorgeous & Talented #RashaThadani in to Telugu Cinema. Stay tuned to witness her magnetic screen presence and performance in #AB4.” (sic)

The film is backed by powerhouse names: Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Films, Swapna Cinema, and Gemini Kiran, under Chandamama Kathalu Pictures.

Expressing her excitement, Rasha shared the announcement on social media and wrote, "New beginnings, endless gratitude! Mee andari prema tho, I'm stepping into Telugu cinema. Thank you @dirajaybhupathi sir for this opportunity." (sic)

"Chala excited to start this journey! #TeluguDebut #AB4," she concluded.(sic)

Ajay Bhupathi: At the Helm Once Again

Ajay Bhupathi made his mark with RX 100, a film that later inspired the Hindi remake Tadap. He followed up with Maha Samudram (2021) and then Mangalavaaram (2023), showcasing his ability to narrate raw, emotionally resonant stories.

Rasha Thadani’s Trajectory

So Far Rasha first appeared on the big screen in Azaad, a Hindi period drama directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Though the film’s box-office response was lukewarm, her screen presence, especially in the viral “Uyi Amma” moment, made her a breakout name.

More Ambitious Projects

Ahead Beyond her Telugu debut, Rasha is quickly widening her cinematic canvas with an exciting lineup of projects. She stars in Laikey Laikaa, a romantic entertainer directed by Saurabh Gupta alongside Abhay Verma. She is also set to lead an untitled high-energy action romance with Lakshya, directed by Anirudh Iyer under Northern Lights Films.
