Shahid will be the lead in Hindi remake of South movie 'Jersey' starring Nani. Producer of Jersey will also be producing the Hindi-remake. The producer has begun talks with big actresses who can nail the female lead character and be a perfect pair opposite Shahid Kapoor. Among the many stars in the pipeline, Rashmika Mandanna has maximum probability.
A source stated, " The producers were on the lookout for a fresh face and if Rashmika gives her nod, this will mark her Hindi debut. She has watched Jersey and expressed an interest in the Hindi remake. But the modalities and gee are yet to be finalised. The makers are reportedly planning to roll out the film by November this year. "
