Rana Daggubati Replaces Abhi in Department

"Due to date problems to match combinations with other actors I am going ahead with Rana Daggubati instead of Abhishek Bachchan in Department," Varma tweeted.

Incidentally, Telugu actor Daggubati has made his Bollywood debut with recently released Dum Maro Dum, starring alongside junior Bachchan.

Daggubati plays a Goan musician in the Rohan Sippy-directed film, a role which was initially meant for Abhishek, who is busy shooting for his upcoming film Players these days.
