On January 31, joy echoed through the Konidela household as twins - a baby boy and girl - arrived, completing a beautiful new chapter for Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela.
The couple hosted an intimate naamkaran ceremony at their Hyderabad residence, where tradition, blessings, and family bonds took centre stage.

Soon after, Megastar Chiranjeevi officially shared the names of the little ones with the world through a heartfelt social media post.
Names Rooted in Heritage and Hope
At the ceremony, the twins were named Shivram and Anveera Devi - names that carry profound spiritual and emotional meaning. Speaking to Variety India, Ram Charan shared the deep thought behind their choice.
The RRR star said, “Naming them was a deeply personal and spiritual decision for both of us. Upasana and I discussed it extensively, but our parents were very much part of the journey. In our culture, elders bring wisdom and blessings, so their presence in that process meant a lot to us. Our son’s name, Shivram, reflects two eternal ideals - Lord Shiva and Lord Rama - strength with restraint, devotion with righteousness. It also carries forward my father’s birth name, Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad, so there’s lineage and gratitude woven into it. Our daughter’s name, Anveera Devi, represents boundless courage and divine feminine strength. ‘Veera’ signifies bravery, and ‘An’ expands it to something limitless. The ‘Devi’ is intentional – a reminder that strength and grace can co-exist. For us, these names are not just identifiers. They are aspirations of strength, love and courage."
Through these names, the couple has woven together devotion, lineage, courage, and grace - values they hope will shape their children’s lives.
Motherhood, Reimagined
For Upasana, welcoming twins marks not just another milestone, but a calmer, more grounded chapter of motherhood.
Reflecting on her journey, she said, “The first time, everything is new - beautiful, but overwhelming. This time, I feel much more relaxed and grounded. I’ve learned to let go of a lot, and now I don’t panic over the small things anymore. Stability, routine, and unconditional love - that’s really all the little ones need right now."
"Managing twins is magical. I’m only a week into it, so I don’t want to speak too soon – but there’s an extraordinary sense of fulfillment watching all three of my children together… Ram has been incredibly hands-on, especially with Kaara,” she said.
Her words reflect maturity, balance, and a renewed sense of joy in parenting.
Gratitude and Growing Legacy
The couple had earlier shared their happiness through a joint statement after the twins’ birth. Ram expressed heartfelt gratitude.
He said, “Being blessed with three children fills me with gratitude. I'm thankful to all our fans, loved ones and well-wishers, who have stood by us and supported us through every moment."
Upasana echoed that sentiment with hope and clarity. She said, “My father always believed that clarity of intention and faith go hand in hand. Today, I feel incredibly blessed to be a mother of three, exactly as we envisioned. Our hope is to raise children who are strong yet compassionate, aware that privilege carries responsibility - and that true legacy lies in giving back.”
A Spiritual Touch to the Journey
It was recently revealed that the couple consulted an astrologer to determine an auspicious delivery time for the twins. They also sent an alchemist to offer prayers at a temple before the birth - underscoring how faith and tradition remain deeply embedded in their journey.
With Shivram and Anveera Devi, the Konidela family’s legacy now grows stronger - carried forward by faith, intention, and boundless love.
