However, in the last few years, the beauty has managed to prove her mettle both as an actress as well as a glamorous star. And while doing so has left her contemporaries like Rashmika Mandanna and Samantha Akkineni far behind.
Pooja Hegde is Way Ahead of Rashmika and Samantha When it Comes to Bollywood
Be it her soft and graceful dance with Allu Arjun in Butta Bomma or her glamorous presence in Akshay Kumar's multi-starrer Housefull 4, the Southern diva has managed to hold her own while sharing the screen with accomplished actors from South and Bollywood.
That is how she has managed to get big projects with Bollywood stars. She has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Salman Khan in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Pooja Hegde will also be seen next in Simmba, Singham and Golmaal fame director Rohit Shetty's Cirkus opposite Ranveer Singh. She also has Prabhas's next Radhe Shyam which has already created quite a hype among cinegoers.
Rashmika Mandanna will be debuting opposite Sidharth Malhotra with Mission Majnu in Bollywood while Samantha Akkineni is making her presence felt with The Family Man web series. But both are yet to grab any big Bollywood project.
Even in the south, Pooja is getting more payment as compared to Rashmika and Samantha. According to reports both the Dear Comrade and the Eega actress are paid around 2 crores for one movie. However, the Maharshi actress is being paid Rs.2.5 crores for one movie.
Pooja Hegde Demands Rs.1 Crore For a Cameo in Chiranjeevi's Acharya
The latest buzz indicates that Pooja has demanded a whopping Rs.1 Crore for doing a 20-minute cameo in Chiranjeevi's upcoming flick Acharya. Incidentally, Kajal Aggarwal will be the leading lady of the movie but she has charged only Rs.1.5 crores for a full-length role in Acharya.
Pooja will be paired opposite Ram Charan who is also one of the lead actors in the movie. The actress has already given dates of one week to the makers who have readily agreed to sign Pooja despite her exorbitant pricing.
The former beauty pageant runner up will start shooting for Acharya from next month.
