Tamil actress VJ Chitra today allegedly committed suicide in the bathroom of a five-star hotel in Tamil Nadu's Nazarethpettai. The death of the 28-year-old actress who is well known for playing the character of Mullai in the popular television show Pandian stores has rocked the South Indian entertainment industry.
VJ Chitra Reportedly Locked Bathroom and Hanged Herself
The actress reportedly was shooting at EVP Film City yesterday. After completing the shooting she returned to her room in the five-star hotel at 2.30 am where she was staying with her fiancee Hemanth. The two got engaged a couple of months ago.
The late TV actress told Hemanth that she wanted to take bath and went into the bathroom. In his statement given to the local police, Hemanth said that after going to the bathroom when Chitra did not come out after a long time he called the staff of the hotel.
With the help of the duplicate key, the staff members opened the door of the bathroom where they found the Tamil actress hanging from the ceiling. While the family members of the actress are still in shock and yet to come out with an official statement, fans are also very much stunned by this news.
Most of the devastated fans have said that suicide is not a solution.

There are a few who are wondering what could have forced VJ Chitra to take such a step when everything was going well in her life. Many believe that there is something fishy that needs to come out.

The pictures of Chitra post-death have already started creating controversy as the actress did not leave any suicide note behind. Police are conducting an investigation and hopefully will come to a plausible conclusion regarding the reason behind VJ Chitra's alleged suicide soon.
