From December 15 to December 21, 2025, OTT platforms are rolling out a packed slate of fresh releases that promise something for every viewer.

Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and ZEE5 are bringing back some of their biggest franchises while also introducing new films and series across genres such as romance, crime, comedy, horror, sci-fi and psychological thrillers. 

With long-awaited season returns and intriguing new stories, this week is tailor-made for binge-watchers.

Thamma – December 16 (Prime Video)

Thamma marks the fifth instalment in the popular Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and blends romance, horror and humour in equal measure. The film follows Alok Goyal, a shy and unassuming television journalist whose life changes dramatically after a mysterious woman named Tadaka saves him from a bear attack.

Unbeknownst to Alok, Tadaka belongs to an ancient vampire clan known as the betaals. By breaking her sect’s strict rules to protect him, she transforms Alok into a betaal as well. Their forbidden love enrages Yakshasan, the imprisoned and ruthless leader of the clan. As dark mythological forces rise, the newly transformed couple must embrace their powers to protect humanity while fighting to keep their love alive.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat – December 16 (Netflix)

This intense romantic drama explores obsession, power and toxic love. The story revolves around Vikramaditya Bhonsle, the arrogant son of a powerful politician, and his one-sided fixation on Adaa Randhawa, a successful and independent actor.

When Adaa publicly rejects Vikramaditya’s repeated marriage proposals and labels his pursuit as harassment, the situation spirals out of control. A shocking public reward announcement against Vikramaditya pushes him further into obsession. Using his influence and authority, he begins stalking and pressuring Adaa, leading to a tragic and disturbing climax that highlights the dangers of unchecked power and possessive love.

Fallout Season 2 – December 17 (Prime Video)

After the explosive finale of its debut season, Fallout Season 2 plunges deeper into its post-apocalyptic world. Vault Dweller Lucy MacLean and the mysterious Ghoul form an uneasy alliance as they journey through the brutal Mojave Wasteland toward New Vegas.

Their mission is to find Hank MacLean, Lucy’s father, who escaped in a stolen power suit due to his role in Vault-Tec’s dark pre-war conspiracy. As Lucy uncovers unsettling truths about her family and the Vaults, the Ghoul remains driven by his desperate longing to reunite with his lost wife and daughter.

Emily in Paris Season 5 – December 18 (Netflix)

Emily Cooper’s whirlwind journey continues in Season 5 of Emily in Paris, with a fresh chapter set in Rome. Emily takes on the role of head of Agence Grateau Rome, navigating new professional challenges and cultural differences in Italy’s historic capital.

As she begins to settle into her Roman life and develops feelings for Italian heir Marcello, a major business deal collapses, forcing her to confront career setbacks. Just as she prepares to return to Paris for clarity, a shocking secret threatens one of her closest friendships. Four More Shots Please! Season 4 – December 19 (Prime Video)

The fourth and final season of Four More Shots Please! offers an emotional farewell to Damini, Umang, Anjana and Siddhi. The women make one last pact to confront the unresolved issues holding them back from happiness.

Siddhi navigates married life while unpacking her sheltered upbringing, Umang struggles to stop chasing instant connections, Anjana attempts to shed her rigid image and embrace new love, and Damini works on being kinder to herself while supporting her professional ambitions. Mrs Deshpande – December 19 (JioHotstar)

Mrs Deshpande is a gripping psychological crime thriller inspired by the French series La Mante. The story centres on a notorious serial killer who has been behind bars for years but is called upon to help catch a copycat murderer mimicking her signature style.

The twist lies in her condition: she will only assist if she works with her estranged son, now a police detective. Pharma – December 19 (JioHotstar)

This Malayalam web series exposes the dark underbelly of the pharmaceutical industry through the story of KP Vinod, an ambitious medical sales executive. His aggressive promotion of a new drug, KydoXin, brings him rapid success until he discovers its dangerous and sometimes fatal side effects.

Wracked with guilt, Vinod teams up with a researcher and an investigative journalist to expose the truth. What follows is a high-stakes battle against powerful corporations willing to sacrifice lives for profit.

Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders – December 19 (Netflix)

A spiritual sequel to the 2020 hit, this crime thriller sees Nawazuddin Siddiqui return as Inspector Jatil Yadav. He investigates the brutal murder of the wealthy Bansal family inside their Kanpur mansion.

With only Meera Bansal, the sole survivor, left alive, Jatil must unravel a maze of political influence, family secrets and betrayal in a case darker and more complex than ever.

The Great Flood – December 19 (Netflix)

This Korean sci-fi disaster thriller unfolds during a catastrophic global flood. Trapped inside a rapidly flooding apartment complex, an AI researcher and her young son face impossible choices when a mysterious operative reveals a mission that could determine humanity’s future.
