In an industry often dominated by flawless appearances, cosmetic treatments and social media filters, filmmaker Farah Khan has stirred a fresh beauty debate with a surprisingly candid remark. 

The conversation didn’t happen on a red carpet or talk show, but during one of Farah’s popular cooking vlogs — a space known for humour, honesty and unfiltered conversations. At the centre of the discussion was a name Bollywood has long associated with timeless beauty: Aishwarya Rai.

A Casual Chat That Went Viral

The moment unfolded when Farah’s cook, Dilip, complimented her glowing skin and asked about the secret behind it. Playing along with her signature comic timing, Farah confidently credited her “natural beauty” and inner glow. 

However, moments later, while promoting her association with a skincare brand, she broke the illusion with a laugh, admitting that the product was doing the real work. “Let Dilip think that I am naturally beautiful,” she joked, drawing laughter from viewers.

The One Name She Swears By

What truly caught the internet’s attention was what followed next. Speaking bluntly about beauty standards in Bollywood today, Farah shared her belief that genuine natural beauty is rare in the industry. In her trademark no-filter style, she quipped, “Aishwarya Rai ko chodhkar shayad hi koi naturally beautiful hoga,” meaning that apart from Aishwarya Rai, hardly anyone can be called naturally beautiful.

The comment quickly sparked discussions online, with fans debating beauty, genetics, cosmetic enhancements and the pressure to maintain a perfect image in the film industry.

Aishwarya Rai’s Timeless Appeal

Aishwarya Rai, Miss World 1994, has long been celebrated for her grace and striking looks. Over the years, she has starred in several iconic films such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Mohabbatein, Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom 2 and Ponniyin Selvan. Though she has been away from the big screen for the past three years, she continues to make headlines with her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival.

She was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II (2023), which emerged as a blockbuster.
