(image) New Delhi: Bad timing is the death of both comedy and romance. As Abhishek Bachchan readies for Rajkumar Santoshi`s `Ladies and Gentlemen`, his first ever rom-com with wife Aishwarya Rai, the actor is both excited and worried.

The film will be the actor`s sixth outing with his wife of four years and Abhishek is keen to test their comic timing.

"I have done quite a few films with Aishwarya and I have always enjoyed working with her, even before we were together and married. `Ladies and Gentlemen` is a romantic comedy, so it`s something we have never done before. It will be interesting to see if we have that comic timing," Abhishek told reporters.

The 35-year-old actor will play a man with a roving eye and Aishwarya his dutiful wife in the film. And Abhishek is looking forward to reuniting with his real life love onscreen.

"I am really looking forward to working with her again as she is a great co-star. Very supportive and a hard working professional," said Junior Bachchan.

The actor is equally devoted to his craft and he has decided to give marriage anniversary celebrations a miss to promote his upcoming thriller `Dum Maro Dum`.

"On our anniversary I will be busy promoting `Dum Maro Dum` so me and Aishwarya haven`t made any grand plans. I guess we will just do something quiet at home," said the actor.

`Dum Maro Dum` is special for Abhishek in more ways than one.

The film, set in the world of sex and drugs which lures millions of tourists into Goa every year, is Abhishek`s third collaboration with childhood friend Rohan Sippy.

And he is in love with his character, ACP Kamath, a tough cop out to clean up the drug mafia.

"The work on the film began two years ago and I have been on board since then. Rohan actually wanted me to play DJ Joki, but when I read the script I knew that I had to play ACP Kamath.

"I found the character magnetic and I was instantly drawn to him. He is in emotional turmoil but does not let it show and manages to have a very wacky sense of humour and he has some amazing one-liners," said Abhishek.

The film has run into legal troubles after accusations that it is a negative portrayal of Goa and Goan women, but the actor said that it is just an over-reaction.

"The intention is to make an entertaining film, not to start a controversy or hurt anyone`s feelings or show anyone in a bad light. Having said that we are more than willing as makers to address any objections though the film was passed without cuts by the Censor Board. And we have already changed the dialogue which started the controversy," said Abhishek.

His career graph has been experiencing a downward spiral of late with three back to back box-office flops, `Game`, `Khelein Hum Jee Jan Se` and `Raavan`. And Abhishek has no qualms in accepting his mistakes.

"The truth is out there for everyone to see and me saying it otherwise won`t change anything. If you make a mistake you have to accept it," said the actor.

`Dum Maro Dum` starring Abhishek, Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati and Prateik Babbar will release on April 22.
