Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan, celebrated for her powerful voice and electrifying stage presence, had an emotional moment during a recent concert in Lucknow. Despite battling a severe throat problem, the singer chose to continue performing, showing her dedication to the fans who had gathered to watch her live.
The moment, which quickly circulated on social media through several videos, captured the singer apologising to the audience while struggling with her voice.
Emotional Moment During Lucknow Concert
Sunidhi was performing at Coolbreeze Resorts in Lucknow on March 7 as part of her I Am Home India Tour 2025–26. During the show, the singer paused mid-performance to address the crowd and explain the difficulty she was experiencing.
Dressed in a shimmering romper-style jumpsuit, the 42-year-old spoke candidly about her condition while trying to hold back tears. She admitted that her throat was in a very bad state and that singing was becoming difficult for her.
“I have a terrible throat; today my voice is very bad. But I know you are with me, and I still want to do this,” she told the audience.
Singer Apologises To Fans
Sunidhi also expressed embarrassment over the situation, saying such a moment had never happened to her before. She apologised to the audience, explaining that she always tries to give her full effort during every performance.
“I always want to give 100 percent. But unfortunately I am trying, and maybe it won’t be that, so please forgive me,” she said, thanking fans for their continued support.
Determined To Perform For The Audience
Despite the physical discomfort, Sunidhi decided to continue the concert, determined not to disappoint the fans who had come to see her perform. The emotional moment was met with loud cheers and encouragement from the crowd.
The support from the audience helped lift the atmosphere as the singer carried on with the show.
