Tamil superstar Vijay’s recently released 'Master' is on a dream box-office run despite COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and its digital release.
Even with 50% occupancy, Vijay's Master has broken Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion's three-year-long record in terms of theatrical share in Tamil Nadu in 19 days of its release.
Master has yielded more than 82 crore share and thus surpassed the previous record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which had earned around 78 crores in the state.
'Master' is one of the first films to hit Indian theatres since the covid-19 lockdown restrictions were partially eased.
Despite numerous restrictions, the film performed exceptionally well and joined the 200-crore club by the ninth day of its release.
After Mersal, Sarkar and Bigil, this was Thalapathy Vijay's fourth film to perform well at the box-office, which talk volumes about his box office pull.
Meanwhile, Vijay's fans are going gaga over this news. Twitter is now flooded with fans praising their superstar with #Master, #ThalapathyVijay.
