Kristen Stewart wins best actress award at Milan

(image) London: Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has won the best actress award at the Milan Film Festival for her turn as a teen stripper in Welcome to the Rileys.

The 21-year-old who is best known for playing Bella Swan in the vampire franchise, won the trophy for the gritty film, reported Daily Star online.

Stewart trained with a stripper for two months to get her role right and shot her first nude scene for the film.

Her raunchy character swears like a sailor and stashes cash in her underpants.

"My character`s not sultry, not sexy. She sort of throws herself into all her moves. I tore myself up doing it," said the actress.

Actor Aidan Gillen was named the best actor for his performance in `Treacle Jr` and Nadia Tass walked away with the best director trophy for her drama `Matching Jack`.
