Guna: In a laudable gesture, film actress Kareena Kapoor has arranged for 50 solar lanterns for handloom sari weavers of Chanderi in neighbouring Ashoknagar district.

The actress had come along with actor Aamir Khan to village Pranpur in Chanderi around 18 months back for the promotion of the film `Three Idiots`.

Kareena arranged for the solar lanterns and one charging station for them through M/s Energy and Resource of New Delhi.

The whole exercise cost Rs. 2.50 lakh to the actress, who made arrangements for getting it distributed on Sunday.
