Prayagraj is currently witnessing a colossal influx of devotees for the Maha Kumbh, one of the world's largest religious festivals. Amidst this vibrant religious confluence, a pet dog named Zorawar has unexpectedly become the centre of attention.
In a widely shared video, Zorawar is seen accompanying his owner, Vansh Chhabra, for a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam—the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. Social media users have affectionately dubbed Zorawar as the 'cutest devotee,' delighted by his participation in the spiritual event.
Zorawar's attendance at the Maha Kumbh was unplanned. Vansh Chhabra explained that the original intention was to leave the pet at home. However, Zorawar's persistence was clear as he remained in the car, determined not to be left behind when the family prepared for the journey.
Recognising this as a sign, Chhabra decided that Zorawar should join them. A heartwarming clip shows Chhabra and Zorawar entering the river together. Chhabra offers prayers while Zorawar sits obediently by his side, demonstrating a symbolic moment of unity and devotion.
Zorawar's sacred dip drew admiration from fellow pilgrims, including a local police officer, who took the time to gently pet the endearing beagle. Since being shared on Instagram, the video has garnered over 7.5 million views, with thousands of social media users showering love on the faithful dog.
“This is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen today! Truly divine,” shared a user. Another user shared, “Even animals feel the spiritual energy. What a beautiful moment!”
“He has attained moksha before all of us,” shared a third user.
