(image) Los Angeles: Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts is in talks to play the Evil Queen in Indian-origin director Tarsem Singh`s `The Brothers Grimm: Snow White`.

The film, produced by Relativity Media, is a modernised spin on the fairy tale with the studio planning to release it in 3D, reported Variety online.

If the deal is through, the 43-year-old actress will be seen playing the evil queen plotting to kill Snow White when her magic mirror informs her that she`s no longer the fairest of them all.

Melisa Wallack, who directed the 2007 indie comedy `Meet Bill`, is penning the script.

Relativity has been transforming itself into a full-fledged studio and produced `The Fighter` this year.
