Jiya Shankar shuts down marriage rumours with Abhishek Malhan, confirms relationship with mystery man

Actor Jiya Shankar has once again found herself at the centre of relationship speculation — and once again, she has chosen to address it directly and firmly. Recent reports claiming that the Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame actor was set to marry YouTuber and influencer Abhishek Malhan, popularly known as Fukra Insaan, gained traction online over the past few days. Jiya has now made it clear that the rumours are completely baseless.

Instagram Post That Ended the Speculation

Instead of releasing a formal clarification, Jiya used her Instagram Stories to shut down the buzz. She shared a romantic photo with a mystery man whose face was not revealed. In the image, the man is seen kissing her cheek as she clicks a selfie. Along with the picture, Jiya wrote, “Let’s leave false rumours in 2025! (sic)”, making it clear that she is neither engaged to nor dating Abhishek Malhan.

How the Engagement Rumours Began

The speculation reportedly started after an entertainment page, Telly Khazana, shared a post claiming that Jiya and Abhishek had made their relationship public and that an engagement might be on the way. The post quickly went viral, reigniting long-standing assumptions that have followed the duo since their appearance together on Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Jiya’s Earlier Strong Statement

This is not the first time Jiya has addressed link-up rumours with Abhishek. Last year, she issued a blunt and emotionally charged statement clarifying that they were never romantically involved and that even their friendship had ended. She also expressed frustration over trolling and attacks on her character and family, asserting that she is self-made and refuses to be dragged into “cheap stunts” for online views.
