Actress Kangana Ranaut who courted controversy with a sling of videos and angry tweets targeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray following the demolition of some ‘illegal’ portions of her office by the BMC on Wednesday, took to Twitter on Thursday to say that the people of Maharashtra don’t approve the actions of the state government.
“I want to be clear that the people of Maharashtra do not like the actions of the state government. A lot of Marathi well-wishers and those from Himachal Pradesh as well as from across the globe have called me. Do not think that I am not loved and respected."
She also stated that the actions of the state government, which is headed by Uddhav Thackeray, should not hurt the pride of the Maharashtrians, in her following tweet.
"A lot of my Marathi friends cried over the phone yesterday. A lot of them gave me moral support. Some others also sent me food but I couldn't accept them due to security reasons. The actions of the state government should not hurt the pride of the Maharashtrians. Jay Maharashtra," she added on her official team handle.
On Wednesday afternoon, the actress landed in Mumbai from Mohali only to be greeted by a crowd of angry Sena workers who were holding placards and shouting slogans against her. Her office had already been demolished by the time she reached Mumbai airport.
