During the conversation, Rani spoke humorously about how her daughter confidently voices her opinions. Calling Adira a true Gen Alpha kid, the actor said she often has to listen and adapt, acknowledging how each generation evolves with time.
Rani contrasted her own strict upbringing with the present, admitting that traditional discipline methods simply do not apply today. She also recalled a sweet moment when Adira was joyfully jumping around at home while the National Awards were being announced, calling her daughter both adorable and intimidating in equal measure.
Why Adira Hasn’t Watched All of Rani’s Films
Rani also revealed that Adira struggles to watch her mother cry on screen. While the young girl enjoys seeing Rani dance or appear happy in films like Hichki, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, and Bunty Aur Babli, emotional scenes are difficult for her to process.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, in particular, was hard for Adira due to Rani’s character dying early in the film. Rani further shared a touching detail about how her daughter prefers seeing her without makeup, saying she only truly recognizes her mother when she looks natural.
