Throughout the years there have been many celebrities whose love transcended borders and they went on to pursue their happily ever after. However, not every time celebrity cross-national affairs lead to a happy ending. South stunners Ileana D’cruz and Shruti Haasan are some of the few stars who found love in a foreign land but their love stories couldn't seal the forever deal.
Ileana D’Cruz was in a five-year-long relationship with Australian photographer Andrew Kneebone. The actress never shied away from sharing the sneak peeks of her relationship on social media, even so, their marriage had been the talk of B-Town. But as fate would have it, the two broke up.
In an interview, the Barfi actor confessed that the breakup was too hard on her and she was depressed. “I went to a therapist and she told me to accept the compliments. I have accepted myself now and I am doing well.”
She even opened up that she has no hard feelings for her ex. “It is always a learning experience. I never wanted to come out bitter or someone with any animosity. It has left me stronger. Shit happens, but life goes on” said the Ileana.
Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan was in a serious relationship with her Italian boyfriend Michael Corsale for a couple of years. The two were reportedly all set to tie the knot however things fell apart. The two split their ways because their long-distance wasn’t working in their favor.
The ex couple however still share an amicable bond with each other and Michael even shared on his Twitter about Shruti being her best mate always. He wrote, "Life has just kept us on opposite sides of the globe unfortunately and so we have to walk solo paths it seems. But this young lady will always be my best mate. So grateful to always have her as a friend. Luv ya gal "'
Currently, Ileana D’Cruz is still single and trying to move on from her past break up, Shruti has found love again in graphic designer Santanu Hazarika.
