The one thing that Ileana D’Cruz needs ardently right now is a big hit in Bollywood. Her last venture was “Pagalpanti” that tanked at the box-office thereby putting a big question mark over her future in the Hindi film industry. Her pair with Ajay Devgan has been greatly appreciated and received a lot of success. Be it “Badshaho” or “Raid” Ajay and Ileana have struck gold with almost all their movies together.
So now when the sequel to the superhit “Raid” is being discussed, the probability is strong that Ileana might also be roped in opposite the “Singham” star. Currently, Ajay is busy promoting his period movie “Tanhaji “The Sung Warrior” which also stars his wife Kajol in the lead. He will also be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s “Sooryavanshi” in a cameo with Akshay Kumar in the lead. So the shooting of the sequel to 2018 mystery thriller “Raid” will most probably start after a couple of months.
Ileana D’Cruz Not Yet Confirmed For ‘Raid 2’
The sequel to this mystery movie is very much under discussion but whether Ileana will be a part of it is not yet clear. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the first movie entered the 100-crore club and was considered a hit at the box-office. According to insider sources, the team of Ajay is currently on the lookout for an interesting story based on an income tax raid that can be used to make an interesting movie similar to the first one.
Loosely based on the income tax raid that was carried out in 1981 on the then MLA of Congress Sardar Inder Singh by Sharda Prasad Pandey, an IT Commissioner, the names of the characters were changed to avoid any legal issues. Ajay’s team is looking out for more such stories on income tax raid for the sequel. One of the reports says that the “Golmaal” actor has already heard a script for the sequel and will take the decision once he is free from the promotion and launch of his upcoming historic flick.
