Mumbai Actor Akshay Kumar, known for his daredevil stunts, says that though he feels the fear while doing stunts, he does not let it stop him.

"I do feel fear but I call it `good fear`. The fear of not being able to pull off the stunt carefully...the fear of losing my loved ones...if I don`t take care of myself.." Kumar said.

"A good stunt-man is one who performs a stunt and comes out without even a scratch or a bruise," he said.

"I did not let any phobia get to me. I still remember, I was learning how to ride a horse for producer Pramod Chakravarthy`s film. I did not know how to ride a horse. I fell off, but Jeetu Varma, who was teaching me, told me to jump back and said if I get scared right now then for the rest of my life I will never ever ride a horse. I just got up - he made sure I jumped."

Kumar, who would be hosting the fourth season of reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, feels that fear is developed in the mind and one needs to overcome it.

About Khatron Ke Khiladi, he said, "The idea is to train all contestants mentally. Actually fear is developed in the mind. It is not that you can`t do it -- believe me any one can do stunts. So this is where I test the fear factor in them (contestants). I not only see how physically fit they are but also how strong they are mentally."

The 43-year-old actor performed a live stunt to mark the start of fourth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi here last evening.

"I did the stunt after five years. The last stunt I did was for a film and that was five years ago. I don`t even remember it. I had stopped doing stunts because my son was small... now he is nine and I want to do them again," Kumar said.ds to overcome it.
