Kangana Ranaut turns a day older today. Apart from her birthday, the Queen fans have one more reason to celebrate this big day. The actress yesterday was announced the Best Actress National Award for her performances in Manikarnika and Panga proving once again that when it comes to delivering the best on the screen, there is no equal to this pahadi actress.
Like many other celebrities, her life also has been marred by several controversies including linkups with Hrithik Roshan, Aditya Pancholi, and Adhyayan Suman. She is currently engaged in a legal battle with the Krrish star whereas it was Adhyayan who revealed her addiction to drugs.
What has however turned in the favor of Kangana Ranaut is her openness to accepting her flaws and her strong willpower to fight even against the mighty Maharashtra government when her office in Mumbai was destroyed.

But during this time she got her first break with Gangster and ever since then there has been no turning back. Post Gangster, she caught the attention of the critics as well as the Indian movie fans with stellar performances in Woh Lamhe, Life in a... Metro and Fashion. Her roles in Raaz: The Mystery Continues and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai were also appreciated but she was on the threshold of being typecast for neurotic roles.
Then came the super-duper success of Tanu Weds Manu followed by Queen which helped her to achieve the superstardom in Bollywood that she has been eyeing since her debut. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) was a milestone in Kangana Ranaut's career as she turned director with this film.
Now all eyes are on the release of the Thalaivi-a biopic on legendary actress and politician Jayalalitha's life. The makers are planning to release the trailer today to mark the birthday of Bollywood's queen.
Apart from Thalaivi, Kangana will also be seen next in Tejas, Aparajitha Ayodhya and Dhaakad.
