Mumbai: At a time when not only India but the entire world is fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic, several eminent personalities from Bollywood and the world of sports have come forward to contribute in the fight against coronavirus.
While Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal pledged to contribute Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES and Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund, the Indian cricket team’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma announced that he will donate Rs 80 lakh to help the government in fighting the pandemic.

In his Instagram post, the Uri star shared a note which read: "While I am blessed enough to be seated with my loved ones in the comforts of my home, there are many who are not as fortunate.
"In this time of crisis, I humbly pledge to contribute an amount of Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES and Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund. We are in this together and we'll win this together. Let us all do our bit for a healthier and stronger future."
Likewise, Rohit Sharma, in a Twitter, post declared that he has donated Rs 45 lakh to PM CARES fund, Rs 25 lakh to the CM's Relief Fund Maharashtra and Rs 5 lakh each to Zomato Feeding India and the Welfare Of Stray Dogs.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar also extended her support to the Maharashtra government in the fight against COVID-19. In a Twitter post, she announced to contribute an amount of Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund to combat the coronavirus crisis.
Earlier on Monday, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif had declared to lend her support to the ongoing battle with COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Diljit Dosanjh, Anushka Sharma, and Virat Kohli among many others who came forward to contribute monetarily in these times of crisis.
