These films have the potential to easily gross between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 crore worldwide, underscoring Tollywood’s growing dominance across national and international markets. With strong storytelling, proven directors, and massive star power, Telugu cinema is poised to lead the Indian box office in the coming years.

Bollywood Facing Increasing Pressure

In contrast, Bollywood is facing increasing pressure to keep pace. While Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ provided temporary relief, industry insiders suggest that upcoming projects like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’, Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ and a potential ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will be crucial in maintaining Bollywood’s competitive edge.

As the lines between regional and national cinema continue to blur, the coming years are expected to witness an intense box-office battle, with Tollywood emerging as a formidable force shaping the future of Indian cinema
