Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan’s “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” has lost its sheen to some extent after Hina Khan stepped out of the important role of Komolika. Previously played by Urvashi Dholakia with great aplomb in the first series, Hina Khan also stole hearts as an antagonist. Although the entry of Karan Singh Grover has to some extent pepped up things on the screen, fans are greatly missing Hina Khan’s Komolika.
Since Hina has opted out of the series because of her film commitments she is not returning anytime soon to television. That is why the series makers are now hunting for another actress to take up the role of Komolika. According to the latest report, Balaji Telefilms have finally found its Komolika in Gauahar Khan who has been busy with a few digital series projects lately.
Does Gauhar Fit The Bill?
The source says, "The makers are very keen on having Gauahar on-board to play Komolika on the show. Gauahar even gave the look test and has been in constant talks with the production house. The makers seem convinced and are insisting on having Khan as the new Komolika, but Gauahar is in a dilemma given that she has other web series and projects in hand. However, final talks and modalities are yet to be discussed."
Fans are already in two-minds whether they want Gauhar as Komolika or not. Die-hard fans of Hina Khan do not want any other actress to replace her and want the production house to wait for the “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” star to return to “Kasautii Zindagii Kay.”
Karan Singh Grover’s smashing entry into the show as Bajaj did work well for the TRP of the series. Now, the makers want to create the same impact by introducing Gauhar Khan as Komolika. But will the audience accept Gauhar Khan as Komolika?
