The “Band Baaja Baaraat” actor is now gearing up to promote his biopic on the life of the World Cup-winning Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev.
Directed by Kabir Singh, the film titled “83” will not only focus on the world cup 83 tournament but will also give glimpses of Kapil’s personal life including his equation with wife Romi Dev. Incidentally, Ranveer’s real-life wife Deepika Padukone is playing the role of his reel-wife in this movie.
Grand Promotion Of Ranveer’s Movie

Many times despite having a good storyline, a movie fails to get the expected response at the box-office simply because it was not promoted well. Despite being a Hindi movie, the promotion of “83” will kick off in Hyderabad on the Indian Republic Day this year. It is going to be a grand promotion as the superstar will be accompanied by none other than all the cricket players who were a part of the World Cup-winning team of 1983. Apart from Kapil Dev himself, Sunil Gavaskar, Madan Lal, Mohinder Amarnath, Balwinder Sandhu, Krishnamchari Shrikanth, Dilip Vengsarkar, Kirti Azad, Ravi Shastri, Roger Binny, Yashpal Sharma, Sunil Valson, Syed Kirmanni, and Farokh Engineer will be present in Hyderabad where the teaser of the movie will be unveiled.
According to sources “83” is a trilingual movie to be made in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil which is why its trailer is first being launched in Hyderabad. Apart from Deepika and Ranveer, the movie will also see Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem and Tahir Raj Bhasin playing key roles. Deepika Padukone is also expected to grace the promotion event.
