The search for the next man to rule the underworld just got more exciting. With reports of Ranveer Singh's exit from Don 3, the rumour mill is abuzz with the possibility of Hrithik Roshan stepping in to take over the iconic role of the world’s most dangerous man.
Hrithik Roshan, already a familiar figure in the Don franchise, might be the perfect fit to replace Singh. Fans will recall Hrithik’s slick cameo in Don 2, where Shah Rukh Khan's character uses a high-tech mask to impersonate Hrithik’s role during a daring heist. While it remains unclear whether Farhan Akhtar plans to revisit this connection, the intrigue is undeniable.
According to reports, the makers are keen on exploring Hrithik as the new face of the franchise. “After Ranveer’s exit, Hrithik has emerged as a strong contender for the role. Though discussions are still in the early stages, it’ll be interesting to see if Hrithik ultimately comes on board,” the source shared.
The Weight of the Role
The pressure to find the right actor is immense. Taking over from Amitabh Bachchan, who first immortalised the role in 1978, and Shah Rukh Khan, who redefined Don for a new generation in 2006 and 2011, is no easy feat.
The Ranveer Singh Exit
The search for a new lead reportedly began after Ranveer shifted focus to Jai Mehta’s upcoming project Pralay, following the success of Dhurandhar. While the official word hasn’t been given, the industry is now eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether Hrithik will step into the shoes of this legendary character or if the makers will choose a new face for Don 3.
As the buzz continues, fans are on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting to see who will lead the charge in Don 3. Whether Hrithik Roshan takes the role or a fresh face emerges, one thing is certain: the legacy of Don is in good hands.
