Disha Patani recently wrapped up shooting for her movie “Malang” which also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu. Directed by Mohit Suri, the movie is a suspense thriller and for the first time will feature Anil Kapoor as an antagonist. Similarly, Kunal Kemmu is also playing a negative role. Set in the backdrop of Goa, the director created Goa in Mauritius for the passionate love story.
The team has already completed shooting in and around the beaches. According to reports, both the lead stars Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapoor had to perform a lot of stunts in “Malang.” Disha, in particular, had to perform several underwater stunts for which she underwent extensive training. An insider source said, “She prepped and trained in scuba-diving and kite-surfing surfing for almost a week before kicking off her shoot.”
Disha is also expected to perform some aerial stunts along with Aditya and hence her prep session also included training in aerial stunts such as sky-diving, cliff jumping and more.
Disha Insisted On Doing Stunts
The production team of Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan had informed Disha that she can instead opt for a body double to do these stunts. But the “Bharat” actress took this bold and daring decision to do all the stunts on her own and gave her 100% to the preparation sessions. According to reports, the production ensured that all the necessary precautions are taken to avoid any problem.
All the stunts were performed under the guidance and monitoring of experts. Interestingly, Disha Patani who herself is a fitness freak had a fear for height and decided to take these stunts as a challenge for overcoming it. That is why she insisted on doing these stunts all by herself. Post “Malang” the “Bagghi 2” actress will be seen in “Radhe” opposite Salman Khan.
