The resounding success of ‘Dhurandhar’ Part 1 turned Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait into one of the film’s most talked-about characters. Unsurprisingly, reports soon confirmed his presence in Dhurandhar 2. While Khanna remains an integral part of the sequel, industry buzz suggests that the actor is currently not involved in any fresh shooting schedules. Even as fans await more of Rehman Dakait, the film has smoothly transitioned into its post-production phase, with director Aditya Dhar already assembling the trailer.

Flashbacks Shape Rehman Dakait’s Journey

According to Pinkvilla, Akshaye Khanna’s appearance in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is rooted in a handful of pivotal flashback sequences. These scenes were filmed during the initial shooting schedules and are woven tightly into the narrative’s backbone. Since his portions were completed earlier, there are no additional shoots planned with the actor at this stage.

All Eyes on the Trailer Cut

With principal filming wrapped up, attention has shifted squarely to crafting the film’s first major visual tease. Aditya Dhar is presently focused on editing the trailer, aiming to capture the same intensity and impact that defined the first installment.

“Aditya is sitting on the trailer edit. The idea is to deliver something impactful again,” stated the report.

If everything goes according to plan, audiences can expect the trailer to drop by the end of February.

Music and Momentum Build Up

On the music front, composer Shashwat Sachdev has stepped into action, developing the background score that will elevate the film’s dramatic scale. Sound design and visual finishing touches are being prioritised, as the makers accelerate work to stay on track for release.
