The thunderous success of Dhurandhar left fans craving more, and now the much-awaited sequel, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, is gearing up to raise the cinematic stakes. From an extended runtime to a festive trailer launch, the upcoming action spectacle is already shaping into one of Bollywood’s most talked-about releases of the year.

A Sequel That Goes Even Bigger
Following the phenomenal run of Aditya Dhar's 3-hour-34-minute Dhurandhar, the makers appear determined to expand the scale of storytelling in the sequel. Reports cited by Bollywood Hungama indicate that Dhurandhar: The Revenge could clock an impressive 235 minutes (3 hours and 55 minutes).
Certain territories may reportedly receive a trimmed version lasting around 3 hours and 40 minutes. Regardless of the final edit, the sequel comfortably exceeds the original film’s exact runtime of 214.01 minutes (3 hours, 34 minutes, and 1 second).
Industry insiders believe this ambitious duration reflects sustained audience fascination with the franchise’s gripping universe. If confirmed, the sequel may rank among the longest Hindi films ever produced, trailing only LOC Kargil, which ran for 4 hours and 7 minutes. An official runtime announcement is expected soon.
Star Power Returns to the Battlefield
Helmed once again by Aditya Dhar, the sequel brings together a formidable ensemble featuring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The original film chronicled the journey of an Indian spy entangled within Pakistan’s criminal and political undercurrents, ultimately emerging as one of Bollywood’s highest-grossing ventures.
Holi Trailer Launch & Digital Strategy
The sequel, scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, is expected to release its trailer on March 3 — strategically timed just ahead of Holi celebrations. Instead of a conventional red-carpet unveiling, sources suggest the makers are opting for a direct digital launch to maximise nationwide reach.
A Massive Box Office Face-Off
Adding further excitement, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge will clash with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas and starring Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Its trailer launch in Bengaluru on March 8 sets the stage for a high-voltage cinematic showdown in 2026.
March Promises a Blockbuster Season
With an ambitious runtime, a festive trailer debut, and a heavyweight box office rivalry, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is positioning itself as one of the biggest theatrical events of the year. For movie lovers, March is already looking like a celebration of grand-scale storytelling.
