London: Johnny Depp is reportedly going to show off his musical skills on the soundtrack for his upcoming movie `The Rum Diary`.

The 48-year-old actor is releasing the album through his production company Infinitum Nihil, and it will feature an instrumental from the Johnny Depp Band and a duet with guitarist JJ Holiday, Daily Express reported.

The record will also feature Christopher Young`s score, Dean Martin`s `Volare` and Patti Smith`s `The Mermaid Song`.

The film is adapted from the novel of the same name from Depp`s longtime friend, the late Hunter S Thompson.
