Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are undoubtedly one of the loved couples of Bollywood. Ever since the duo tied the knot, they have been giving major marital goals.
Soon after marriage of DeepVeer, speculations regarding the couple expecting their first child started doing rounds. Rumours reached the peak when the actress was spotted with a slight bump at the Nykaa.com Femina Beauty Awards 2019.
However, recently, a mischievous comment of the actress in a chat session conducted by her husband and actor Ranveer Singh on his Instagram page added fuel to the talks of Deepika’s pregnancy.
It all started after Deepika wrote “Hi Daddie” after joining Ranveer’s Insta session. She posted the comment with a waving emoji, a baby emoji and heart emoji. Ranveer responded, saying: “Hi Baby”.
Things got more interesting when actor Arjun Kapoor wrote: “Baba Bhabi is gonna give you one.” Fans and media construed Arjun’s comment as evidence that Deepika and Ranveer were on way to having a child.
And if the latest reports are to be believed, Deepika and Ranveer are planning to have their first child next year and for this, the actress has also reportedly taken a break from movies.
“Deepika wanted to take a break for motherhood after Chhapaak but Ranveer was very keen that Deepika plays his wife in '83,” a close source of the couple said to Deccan Chronicle.
Reportedly, Deepika has also been turning down all movie proposals after Chhapaak and 83' as part of the her family plan.
Last year, the Padmaavat actress in an interview with an entertainment website has discussed about motherhood. Deepika said that motherhood "will happen when it has to happen.”
“Motherhood trumps being married. That's what I hear from people who have had children. Of course, it will happen at some point but no, I think it is unfair to put women through that, to put a couple through that. I guess the day we stop asking the questions is when we will bring about change,” stated Deepika.
The star couple who tied the knot last year, is yet to comment on the pregnancy rumours.
On the work front, Ranveer and Deepika are shooting for 83, which traces India's historic win at 1983 cricket World Cup. Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil Dev while Deepika is portraying his wife Romi.
