The 42-year-old whose psychological thriller Black Swan received many accolades, is keen to work on a fantasy epic version of the Noah`s Ark as his next movie, reported Contactmusic.

Entitled Noah, the upcoming project has been written by Aronofsky and is currently undergoing a review by John Logan. The critically acclaimed director wants the film to be his next project after dropping out of Wolverine.

According to reports, New Regency wants a co-financing role in the film, for which Aronofsky wants a budget of USD 130 million and Paramount, Fox and Summit are said to be interested.

Described as a "fantasy epic", the original story tells of a God who floods the world, but tasks Noah with collecting two of every animal and building a boat in which to house them to save the future of the planet.

Aronofsky was earlier in news for his plans to direct Human Nature, a film which is about man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up in the future to find humans are now pets of alien species. However further details of the film is undisclosed.
