Cooper replaces Phoenix in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
New York: Hollywood actor Dominic Cooper has join the cast of `Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter` to essay the role of vampire after replacing Joaquin Phoenix.
The `Mamma Mia!` star will be essaying the role of Henry Sturgess, a vampire who saves Lincoln as a young boy and becomes his best friend, a daily reported.
The 32-year-old actor will later be shown mentoring older Lincoln and explains to him the history of vampirism.
Actor Benjamin Walker will be portraying the role of Lincoln in the Timur Bekmambetov-directed project, while `The Hurt Locker` star Anthony Mackie is likely to play Abraham`s best friend, Will.
Pre-production has already begun on the movie, which is based on the book of the same name by Seth Graham-Smith.
Cooper has other projects lined up including `Captain America: The First Avenger` due for release later this year, and a part in `My Week with Marilyn` about blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe.
