Kolkata: Expressing happiness over the audience feedback to Chittagong for the past three days, film's director Bedabrata Pyne said it should particularly do well in Kolkata.

"I am hopeful Chittagong should do well in a city like Kolkata, which has a discerning audience, where children had grown up reading the heroics of Masterda Surjyo Sen over years and which is closer to erstwhile east bengal where the battle had taken place than other big cities," Pyne said at the Mirchi Jalsaghar programme to ring in the puja festivities where he was present along with the film's crew on Sunday evening.

Manoj Bajpayee, who played the lead character of the ideologue revolutionary in the movie, said "Chittagong will ring in Kolkata the patriotic fervor in the season of Durga, its presiding deity."

"Let us not forget the sacrifices of those spirited revolutionaries who laid down their lives for motherland and made us live this life. What they did none of us can even think of doing in our lifetime," Bajpayee said.

Creating a record in the country by holding non-stop musical sessions for 30 hours to set the perfect puja mood, the Air Asia Mirchi Jalsaghar witnessed musical performance by all the leading names like Usha Uthup, Babul Supriyo, Rupam Islam, Rupankar, Shubhamita, Bickram Ghosh.
