The makers of Border 2 have unveiled the teaser of Ghar Kab Aaoge, an emotionally charged track that aims to carry forward the legacy of the iconic Sandese Aate Hai. Featuring an ensemble of celebrated voices- Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh and Vishal Mishra- the song is positioned as one of the most ambitious musical collaborations in recent times.

Designed to evoke nostalgia and patriotism, the teaser sets expectations high as the film inches closer to its theatrical release. 

Revisiting a Timeless Legacy

Ghar Kab Aaoge reunites the original creative backbone of Sandese Aate Hai. Music by Anu Malik has been reimagined by Mithoon, with additional lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, building upon the original work by Javed Akhtar. The result is a layered, expansive composition that feels collective, emotional and deeply human, aiming to connect across generations.

The song “Ke Ghar Kab Aaoge” has been recreated in a completely new and refreshed manner. Even 28 years after its release, Sandese Aate Hai continues to dominate conversations around patriotism, and the new version attempts to honour that emotional resonance while offering a modern interpretation.

Fans Applaud, But Raise Concerns

Social media platforms quickly lit up, with many fans celebrating the collaboration as a “magical” coming together of voices. However, the excitement was tempered by criticism.

A section of listeners expressed fatigue over Bollywood’s increasing reliance on reimagined classics, calling for more originality. Some fans also felt the song lacked a crucial emotional element, noting that Sonu Nigam was no longer the sole voice and pointing out the absence of Roop Kumar Rathod. Comments reflected this sentiment clearly.

One user wrote, "Sukhwinder singh, Roopkumar rathod Why aren't they included." (sic)

Another shared, "Vishal is an excellent singer and I love him so much but he just didn't fit it here!!! Wish he has rocked it in the full song!! #Border2 #GharKabAaoge." (sic)

"Where is roop kumar rathod?" wrote another. (sic)

A fourth added, "While bollywood is running out of originality. Why don't they keep the same, unedited. And non remixed song in the new movie." (sic)

A Grand Launch Ahead

The full version of Ghar Kab Aaoge will be launched on 2 January 2026 at a grand event in Longewala–Tanot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan- marking a significant milestone in Border 2’s journey to the big screen.
