Bobby reveals his shy side

Mumbai: Bobby Deol, who is playing a cheating husband in Anees Bazmee`s multi-starrer "Thank You", has turned out to be a rather shy `playboy`.

He refused to do a scene where he had to spank dancers in a song sequence.

"Thank You", the comic caper directed by Anees Bazmee, who returns to celluloid after "No Entry" and "Welcome", not just has an item number by Mallika Sherawat, but also a remix of old song "Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo", from "Jaanbaaz", which was originally picturised on Rekha.

"In the remixed version, one of the dance steps had the boys spanking the dancers. While others were agreeable, Bobby flatly refused to do it," sources said.

"Bobby was very hesitant to do the spanking step.

Actually he is very conscious that he is married, and refrains from doing such explicit steps."

Even after a lot of coaxing Bobby refused to budge. Anees Bazmee tried to talk Bobby into doing the step, but Bobby explained his predicament to Anees and he understood, sources said.

"Thank You" is an ensemble film, with Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor playing the lead. Bobby Deol returns to the big screen with the film after "Yamla Pagla Deewana".

Says Bazmi, "It is a film about extra-marital affairs.

It`s an out-and-out comedy, and keeping in mind the theme of the film, the choreographer came up with the step. It was a step done in jest. In fact, we were all making fun of Bobby that he felt shy."
