Bigg Boss 19: Malti Chahar targets Tanya Mittal over her ‘Sati Savitri’ image

The latest promo of Bigg Boss 19 has stirred controversy after Malti Chahar made remarks about fellow contestant Tanya Mittal’s image both inside and outside the house. 

Malti, who entered as a wild card contestant a few weeks ago, was earlier seen bonding with Tanya, but it seems their friendship has taken a dramatic turn.

Malti Questions Tanya’s ‘Sati Savitri’ Image

In the new promo, Malti is seen sitting with Ahsnoor Kaur and Abhishek Bajaj as she comments on Tanya’s personality. 

She accuses Tanya of projecting a “sati savitri” image in the Bigg Boss house, claiming that her behaviour outside is completely different.

Malti tells Abhishek to describe how Tanya is perceived by others, to which he replies that she appears “very sanskaari” and often wears sarees. 

Malti then responds, saying that the housemates only know one side of Tanya and that there are videos of her wearing miniskirts circulating online. 

She goes on to describe one of Tanya’s outfits from a reel and calls her “meme material,” adding, “She says one thing but is something else entirely. So she is a player.”

Her comments shocked Abhishek and Ahsnoor, while other contestants, including Neelam Giri and Kunickaa, were seen listening closely.

Netizens Slam Malti for Her Remarks

Malti’s statements didn’t sit well with viewers. Social media users criticized her for shaming another woman based on clothing choices.

One user wrote, “Shame on you Malti. How can someone be so low to link character with clothes?” 

Another commented, “Why is Malti so obsessed with Tanya’s dressing? This is not gameplay, it’s plain disrespect.”

Many fans also suggested that Malti’s comments might stem from insecurity, noting that Tanya seems to be more accepted by the housemates.

This isn’t the first time Malti has made such comments. Earlier, upon her entry, she had already mentioned Tanya’s viral reels in miniskirts, questioning the authenticity of her saree-clad persona inside the house.
