Actor-director and Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar’s sister, Malti Chahar, entered Bigg Boss 19 as a wildcard contestant and wasted no time shaking up the house. Her spirited presence pushed her into the top six, but her eviction brought an unexpected revelation. In a candid conversation with Zoom, Malti spoke openly about being labelled a lesbian inside the house and held Farrhana Bhatt responsible for instigating the narrative.

While Malti had multiple confrontations with Farrhana Bhatt, viewers also noticed her spending considerable time around her. During one heated exchange, Malti stood unusually close to Farrhana and didn’t move away despite Kunickaa urging her to step back. This moment led Kunickaa to speculate, and later tell Tanya, that she believed Malti was a lesbian.
Facing the growing chatter, Malti clarified, “I wasn’t admiring anyone in that way. I was simply talking to the boys and talking to the girls, that’s it. And if I were a lesbian, I would have no problem accepting it. There is nothing wrong with being a lesbian. I am straight. If someone had asked me on the show, I would’ve openly said it a thousand times, I am straight.”
Malti Calls Out Farrhana’s Strategy
Malti insisted she wasn’t bothered by people assigning her a sexuality, saying, “Someone calling me a lesbian doesn’t offend me at all. ‘Lesbian’ is not an insult. I have no problem with acceptance."
But she pointed fingers at Farrhana for kicking off the controversial discourse, adding, “But this narrative was first set by Farrhana. Because she doesn’t know what to say and what not to say, that woman leaves nothing unsaid. For her, doing anything to stay on the show was survival. She didn’t spare anyone.”
Even during the press conference segment, a journalist accused Malti of being “obsessed” with Farrhana. Malti countered by asserting that Farrhana is the one who constantly provokes her, and she only reacts in self-defence.
Bigg Boss 19 Finale: The Last Five Standing
With Malti Chahar out, the battle for the trophy intensifies. The top five contenders are Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, and Pranit More.
