Baahubali star Prabhas recently surprised 'Kabir Khan' protagonist Shahid Kapoor by calling him up to congratulate him for his stunning look in the film's teaser.
'Kabir Khan' is reportedly the remake of South Block buster 'Arjun Reddy' featuring Vijay Deverakonda. Since the release of the teaser, Shahid has been garnering quite a good lot of praise for his rogue medical student role.
Prabhas reportedly praised Shahid and said that the teaser looks even better than that of Arjun Reddy. The two stars were connected over phone through Celebrity Hair Stylist Aalim Hakim who was on the sets of 'Saaho' when everyone started to praise the teaser.
Aalim called Shahid and handed the phone to Prabhas. The two engaged in around 7 minute long conversation in which Prabhas was full of praise for Kabir Khan's first teaser. The Saaho star said that Shahid looked brilliant and even better than the original.
Similarly, Vijay Deverakonda who played the original Arjun Reddy also sent wishes to 'Kabir Khan' Team and tweeted, "Kabir Singh! Sending my love and best wishes to my men @imvangasandeep, @ShahidKapoor & the lady @Advani_Kiara," wrote Vijay.
Responding to the comparisons, Shahid Kapoor told PTI that the original Arjun Reddy was raw and honest. Nothing in the movie seemed crafted. The character Arjun was intense and Vijay portrayed the extreme emotional arc Arjun went through.
