Prabhas became a household name with the release of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali:The Beginning and Baahubali:The Conclusion. He soon became the youth sensation and millions became his fans. However, recently the Rebel Star was surpassed by another South actor surprising many.
In March this year, the rank of The Times 50 Most Desirable Men,2018 was out and the Baahubali was outranked by his colleague from the South film industry, Vijay Deverakonda.
Vijay was ranked 4th while Prabhas was placed at the 12th spot in the list. Meanwhile, Bollywood actor and ‘Uri’ fame Vicky Kaushal topped the list.
Taking a sneak peek into the list of Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Man of 2017, Vijay had gained more popularity than iconic Tollywood stars Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun and ranked 2nd in the list while Prabhas was at the third position.

In the 2018 list, Vijay was recognized for his impressive screen presence since the last 8 years. His journey from rom-com 'Pelli Choopulu' to the self-destructive 'Arjun Reddy' has escalated his appeal among the audience, especially women. The list mentioned "chiselled body, rugged looks and a smile to die for" of Vijay as his desirable quotient.
When asked about what according to him makes a man desirable, Vijay had replied, “I think desire is what keeps a clock ticking, desire is something you look forward to. For me, if you are very ambitious and desire to achieve a lot of things, that makes you desirable. Seeing someone with lots of desire also makes that person desire.”
Both Prabhas and Vijay are the nation's heartthrobs with many B-town actresses expressing their desire to work with them. Recently, ‘Dhadak’ fame Janhvi Kapoor expressed her desire to team up with Vijay.
