Anushka Sharma is on a break from movies. She had no release after Zero which hit the theatres in 2018. The movie was a huge flop. Before that, her earlier release “Sui Dhaaga” with Varun Dhawan also could not do well at the box-office. She was also a part of Ranbir Kapoor and Raju Hirani's movie “Sanju” but did not have a very big role in it.
On the other hand, she succeeded as a producer by coming up with creative content through her production house Clean Slate Films. It is almost two years and the actress is yet to announce her new movie. However, the production house is collaborating with Netflix for a film called “Bulbul.” Clean Slate is also producing a web series for Amazon written by Sudip Sharma. During this hiatus, the diva also launched her fashion label Nush which is doing quite well.
Why Is Anushka Sharma Away From Movies?
As the “Sultan” actress said earlier she was on an autopilot mode and her hectic schedule exhausted her. The actress wanted to experiment and try something new for which she was not getting enough time. However, an insider source has said that it has got more to do with Anushka’s marriage with Virat and bonding with his family living in Delhi.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in December 2017. She needed to get a good time to know her new family, get to know them better as Virat is very close to his family, and friends. The Indian cricket team captain had a fine dining restaurant “Nueva” in New Delhi. Post his marriage to Anushka he has also come up with yet another eating place in Delhi “One8 Commune” that serves the vegan food Virat loves as well as other Delhi-special delicacies.
For this, he has to regularly visit the capital city of India and Anushka Sharma always gives him the company. It has helped her develop good bonding with Virat’s family and she can occasionally enjoy the typical desi khana and chole bhature with them.
