Ankita Lokhande comes out in support of Mahhi Vij amid dating rumours, Jay Bhanushali also agrees with her statement

Actors Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have been in the spotlight ever since they announced their divorce on January 4, 2026, bringing an end to their 16-year marriage.

While the couple clarified that they continue to co-parent their children amicably, Mahhi recently found herself at the centre of online speculation after wishing her close friend Nadeem Nadz on his birthday, who is known to share a close bond with superstar Salman Khan.

Mahhi’s emotional Instagram post for Nadeem, followed by her decision to disable comments, led to trolls linking the two romantically. The rumours intensified despite Jay being present at the same birthday celebration and sharing pictures from the event himself.

Ankita Lokhande Speaks Out Strongly

Stepping in to shut down the speculation, actor Ankita Lokhande publicly defended Mahhi through an Instagram Story. Clarifying the nature of Mahhi and Nadeem’s relationship, Ankita wrote that Nadeem has always been a father figure to Mahhi and Jay, and a father to their daughter Tara.

Expressing her disappointment over the trolling, Ankita urged people to stop spreading negativity and let individuals live their lives with dignity. She praised Nadeem for being a constant support system for many during difficult times and extended her love and blessings to Mahhi, Jay, and their children.

Jay Bhanushali Reacts, Shows Support

Jay Bhanushali reposted Ankita’s message on his Instagram Story, adding, “Thank you Ankita and I agree with every word you have said.” Mahhi also reshared the story without adding any caption, signalling quiet support for Ankita’s statement.

Adding further clarity, Mahhi had earlier shared a picture of Nadeem with her daughter Tara, referring to him as “Abba,” while Jay too wished Nadeem publicly on social media, sharing warm moments from the birthday celebration.
